went out with the oldie today, 5 turned up, 1 turned for home as it was bit to wet for him so it was 4 on the run, nice slow ride, about after a miles i was so wet, so dropped it in bottom gear to put some heat in the legs, and i stayed in the low gears all day,
think as it a week before xmas drivers need to think on the way they drive, saw to many bad drivers today, all silly things stopping on box junctions, saw 1 driver driving without lights it was pissing down and i pointed it to him and all i got was a wave back, it the second switch on the right sir that will put on your side lights so other road users can see you sir,

@shrewsburyjcp
here is the personality test
haha thats funny, i am autistic and this is 100% wrong
You're a people person, and have a very clear sense of humour. That positive energy will help those around you cope in stressful situations. In addition, that attitude will net you many friends wherever you work.
Your fun nature and good communication skills will help you greatly in vocations within hospitality and tourism.

rant
things did not right today, things went did pete tong as they say, did not go out on the bike today only to town and back, may sit on the turbo for a bit, the ctc tomorrow are not going far, 1/2 hour down the road, so i may go out by my self get a good ride in,
talking of the ctc just reading cycle news from ctc shrewsbury, it made me laugh.
1, HEAD IN THE CLOUDS, the ctc head office has produced a strategy for the next 8 years, if you can make head or tails of the high speak language you are better person than your editor,
what the F- if the ctc has work to make a strategy why is the news letter written by the your club running down this strategy, it there to make cycling safer, and aid the club.
2, THE VIEW FROM THE BACK, also in a larger group please do not leave all the responsillity of the ride to the leader, the leader can`t always be aware of who is at the back of the group and how far behind they are, we all have different abilities and ride at at different speeds so it would help the leader.
the club runs only run at 12mph max, this way all riders should be able to ride at this speed, as a rider that can AV 20mph for 12 hours, this is slow for me, i would like to see the club runs ride at around 16mph this way you can see more of the countryside, i would love to have a group that way you could do a real club run covering say a 100 miles in a day without all this stopping, if the ctc shrewsbury did this i think it would get in more racing lads, and younger riders, a club run based on a racing club run,

i am ready
today i would say is a big day for town and local cycle racing, national trophy cyclocross is coming to town. i have said i will help marshall, so there no cycling today for me. will see if i can take a few photos there be on my twitter page (watch this space)
wet start
just got home from a nice ride, at the start the heavens was pouring down, went out in full waterproofs, as soon as the ride started after a couple of miles the sky went blue, i was like i was in the kettle, a short 32 miles ride, it was nice to sit on A roads and B roads, not like the ctc runs that dont go anywhere near A roads and they dont go near some B roads,
route was nice and the pace was nice AV 13mph,
and the thing i loved that they did not stop after 10 miles for a banana brake that is one thing i can not get on with and if i had my own way the ctc runs would not stop for a banana brake, first stop would be the cafe for 11`s and the other thing i like about this saturday group is 9.30 means 9.30 not like the sunday ctc runs 9.30 means 10am that is 6 miles not covered at 12 mph, never mind,
not riding tomorrow, cyclocross is in town, and i have offered my help, yes @davemellorscycles i will be down there at 9am, got my flou yellow coat ready and woolly hat,

brass monkeys
it cold outside, it well below freezing point, frozen bottle, went to meet the ctc there was 6 out, that was the shortest club run i ever seen 100 meters, so i went out by my self got a good 20 miles in, main roads are ok, busy B roads were ok, riding stubbed tyres i turned off the busy B roads and did a few miles over the oaks,
do not know and i can not see why these riders do not get a set of studded tyres as the machine they ride can take a 35mm tyre, easy,
i look at it like this, it a bit safer to have a set of tyres to be able to hold the road in this kind of weather, ok you pay for them (price and rolling drag) and that what i think is why you dont see the ctc rider riding them PRICE PUT YOUR HANDS IN YOUR POCKETS
